The Comforts Of Home.
Winter is the time for comfort,
for good food and warmth,
for the touch of a friendly hand and for a talk beside the fire:
Looks lovely, a real fire. Not many of them around now with smokeless zones everywhere. We have to make do with candles and flickering flame gas fires. Nice too but not the real thing I remember from childhood.

Such a lovely fire to sit by and a perfect quote.
Sunny :)
Wind and rain and cold can just come on with winter if we have a warm and cozy fire like that to sit by with a love one and a book.

Wonderful words for the soul and a wonderful view of your fireplace. It projects a sense of peace.
It is lovely to see a real fire! Hope you had a good Thanksgiving.
Our last three houses all have had fireplaces...I can't imagine not having one anymore...especially when we have such long winters...I just love them!
I'm in the process of restoring the gothic fireplsces in my home in England...roll on some winter weather.
