Great blog. Some people and families have sacrificed too much for us not to remember how fortunate we are. Have a great weekend.

We have a wonderful life, and on Independence Day I will give thanks for all those who have left us early in courage and sacrifice. I will also give thanks for still being alive and surrounded by so many dear friends in the blogosphere (as well as my dear friends I see in person).

Will we remain free ? Are we running out of people that sacrifice with courage? My God bless and keep us.

AMEN, Jo... We do take our freedom for granted. We definitely need to stop and thank our troops and everyone who came before us who helped make these freedoms possible.

Love your home --and porch ---and flag.

Have a wonderful 4th.
Hugs,
Betsy

Jo, I have been meaning to ask you: did you ever get your hummingbirds? I just checked the post but there is no mention. I have sporadic visits by a male and female but even though I've done everything I can think of, they don't stay long.

DJan: I have seen one hummingbird all summer, it was feeding from the Rose of Sharons yesterday. I was so excited, but that's about it...one.
