A Little Bit Of Brit

Settling in for a night of English television programs.
Our local Public Broadcasting Corporation airs three British shows back to back on Sunday evenings, I would be happier with them spread out throughout the week, but I'll take whatever I can get.
Especially when the main character in Poldark is the handsome Irish actor Aiden Turner.

I make sure I am available for the Durrells too! I remember watching the original Poldark, though, I'm passing on that one.

Jo, I used to watch an English show about some people called Bucket...it was so funny. I have not see it for a long time. I love English shows. Blessings, xoxo, Susie

I haven't watched Poldark, but I've heard so much about it. I suppose I will have to remedy that situation one of these days. He is gorgeous. I loved Last Tango in Halifax on PBS. :-)

PBS noted final of the season on Poldark, but I wondered if it was the final of the series...It has been such
a Sunday evening highlight...and Aiden Turner, not only handsome, but a fine actor. We still get re-runs of
Mrs. Bucket (Patricia now a Dame) and I have a number of recordings of her true singing voice...simply beautiful.

Wish we got more english (as opposed to American) programmes. A wet day and good tv, plus a bit of knitting, coffee and maybe cake...scones!....perfect

The Bucket lady was Hyacinth Bucket in Keeping up Appearances. Wonderful comedy. Not much of it around these days. I did love The Vicar of Dibley, it was hilarious and Hallo Hallo. Now probably the best comedy drama is Doc Martin.

I liked the new Poldark but my husband hated it. Had to watch it on iPlayer when he was out! It is a lot darker than the original which I liked too.

I'm going to be lost on Sunday night now. I love Poldark, The Durrels and The Woman in White. I've also seen the original Poldark which was also very good. And my all time favorite comedy was Are You Being Served. PBS is watched more than any other channel in my houses. I love it.

Oh Ross, a heartbreaker for sure. Although Dr. Dwight is very easy on the eye as well. I just want this show to go on forever! I get lost during the scenes along the coast and the farmlands.

Constance, yes what are we going to do now that Sunday evenings are Poldark-less ?
Are you still blogging, I so miss following your beautiful blog ?
Hugs,

I enjoy a lot of those shows along with the Australian mysteries.

Oh my, I've only seen bits and pieces, but fell in love with Poldark. Why do most (Southern) husbands not like these British movies? I think it is because they can't understand what is being said.

Sounds good. Are you not able to record them?
