Wellies Mandatory

Another day, and more rain.....
Lots of rain, where is it all coming from ?
Three weeks of drought, and now non-stop rain.
Heavy rain, the kind of rain, where an umbrella is nothing more than a nuisance.

The rain gauge spilled out of it's measure, not once but twice, eight inches of rain overnight

Oliver takes advantage of the sunshine in between thunderstorms.

When will we ever get back to just plain old summer time? Our friends in Texas are getting washed away. We in this part of Arkansas are just getting short periods of rain.

All or nothing, so it seems. We may have pushed it across to you, but we have plenty left! It's been raining here all day again. Does it feel cooler now? or just steamy?

No rain here today - even a little sun. Our rain gauge has received good use this week. I now have hope for the blooming of the crepe myrtles.

Enjoy your Saturday!

I am glad for your rain - considering all those in drought! We used to love the sound of rain at night in Texas. We had some rain too which helped clean the air after the fires here.

It rained today at the farm, but not at our home 15 minutes away.

Nature is trying to get things into balance again ; )
It's only sad it has to come all at once.

And our sunshine has temporarily abandoned us. I think the weather is a bit wonky everywhere! Hoping your rain stops soon...

I don't know if that is good or not. I know you have a lot of flooding in your past history. I think of Christopher Robin when he said Tut, Tut, Looks like rain.

Well now at least you had the sun before the rain. We are waiting in hope for the sun after weeks of non stop rain. Well it hasn't rained for two days now but the sun has only broken through a few times.

Funny isn't it how we seem to be getting too much of everything.

Well as the Monty Python song says always look on the bright side so my husband's happy as he has only had to cut the lawn twice so far this summer. It's like a meadow but I don't mind. I on the other hand haven't had to water the garden or the tubs & I don't feel guilty about sipping coffee & watching telly. Yea good for you Monty Python! Now hope the Beatles song is right, "Here comes the sun!"

Wow Jo...wish you could send some of that wonderful wetness over here to us in Kansas!! Well...what you got is a little much but my how beautiful and green everything must be getting now after the drought. Our poor lilacs are looking even worse this year...we just can't keep up enough water I'm afraid. Hopefully the sun comes out soon for you....enjoy it when it does.

Oliver has the right attitude.

We somehow need a central station that will send rain where needed, sun where needed and some happy clouds

What a great picture of Oliver. I'm looking for a yellow tabby to add to our farm. :)

Oh my! Jo,

Yes! wellies are a must with that much rain.

We are still waiting for some rain here. Our rain barrels are ready lol

Aren't those rain gauges fabulous? We purchased one six years ago and just love it!

Oliver is sooooo adorable! He looks just like our Bailey(just shorter hair). Belly rub for him ;o)

Thanks! for sharing. Have a wonderful weekend!

Blessings & Hugs,
Marlene
