Porch-Sitting

Summer is the time when one sheds one's tensions with one's clothes, and the right kind of day is jeweled balm for the battered spirit.
A few of those days and you can become drunk with the belief that all's right with the world.

We thought we were going to get some of that rain you got, but it played out to soon. When I was a child swing on the porch with my grandmother 'All was right with my world then.'It was just at the end of World War II and It was the greatest place in the world "America" and my daddy came home.

so happy you've had rain! I don't believe I appreciate summer as much now that I live where it's warm most of the year! I do appreciate the warmth, at least from my ACed apartment! ;)

Lol...all IS RIGHT WITH THE WORLD RIGHT NOW...

...but maybe that's my cranberry&scone talking...
Nevertheless, I am a happy kid today because it's a zillion degrees outside, and my AC blowing ice chunks at me lol.

I figure that as long as I can be lazy & comfortably cool when it's a zillion degrees outside, while munching on scones and sipping hot tea, all is INDEED right with the world.
Don't you agree ? Lolol

Grace

Right now, all is right with my world. It's 4:30 in the afternoon and we reached a high of almost 80 degrees. My garden will be watered in a couple of hours, and tomorrow the sun will shine again and the temperature might reach the triple digits. I'll take it. :-)

It looks very cool and refreshing on that porch! I'm still waiting on some lower temperatures here.

The quote and picture are perfect! The other day when our power was out, I so enjoyed sitting on my front porch--I don't do enough of that.

Oh your porch is gorgeous. We live in the Middle Tennessee area and it has been so very hot that I would love us to have a porch like that to be enjoying.

The porch looks so inviting and your music is divine. All is great in our world too.

It is also hot here and thank God for central air.

Your porch looks very inviting. Enjoy your sit out there today! I'm watching the tennis final (men's) but just had to take a break for ten minutes to relieve the tension.

Can I come sit with you on your front porch? I need some anxieties to go away- and just maybe if I sat with you- on your porch- in your swing- I just know it would help.
