Nesting

And The Snow Came.

Announced by all the trumpets of the sky,
Arrives the snow, and, driving o'er the fields,
Seems nowhere to alight: the whited air
Hides hills and woods, the river, and the heaven,
And veils the farmhouse at the garden's end.
The sled and traveller stopped, the courier's feet
Delayed, all friends shut out, the housemates sit
Around the radiant fireplace, enclosed
In a tumultuous privacy of storm.

The Snow Storm ~ Ralph Waldo Emerson

I rarely leave a comment, but today I must stop for a moment in time and tell you how much I appreciate the beauty of your blog. Your photography is outstanding and the music (something I don't normally like on a blog) is perfect. It sets the mood and a lovely mood it is. I would even say that today Ralph Waldo Emerson is smiling down from heaven and enjoying seeing his words spending time with your photo.
Have an incredible day and may someone touch your heart today, in the same way you touched mine.
Connie :)

It looks just about the same out our doorway, Jo. We have about two inches of snow on top of about two inches of ice/snow from yesterday! Stay safe and warm!

I'd say if you have to be snowed in your place is as lovely a place as any.

So pretty! And yes, nesting when the weather is like that makes perfect sense. :-)

So beautiful! If ever you decide to adopt one of your blogging friends, could it be me? :)

It is great that the ice has stopped but I bet it is still under all that snow. Stay safe.
