It was only $2000, yes, two thousand. You should have seen the thick mahogany trim throughout! Hubby wisely said no. It had no indoor bathroom. And the fire dept. burned it down for practice. Sad! I believe there a metaphor in there somewhere about the roads not taken in our own lives and maybe that is the poignancy empty houses evoke.
Lovely though provoking post Jo, have a wonderful holiday weekend!
Tina xoMarguerite (Tina) Smith Harthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06654002122173967940noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2239437409050334506.post-73534628464104250482011-09-02T07:30:53.130-05:002011-09-02T07:30:53.130-05:00it has one person that loves it, ME beautiful in m...it has one person that loves it, ME beautiful in my eyesMadSnapperhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08163140037276496519noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2239437409050334506.post-43900875430415190722011-09-02T07:17:00.400-05:002011-09-02T07:17:00.400-05:00I am saddened when I see an old abandoned house fa...I am saddened when I see an old abandoned house fall to decay. I'm so glad I took photo's of the old abandoned homestead not far from us because when we drove by last Saturday we found it had been torn down. The house the barn and other buildings...nothing left but foundations. I had always meant to go back and get a closer look...now sadly it's too late.
