The Merry Month Of May

Despite two frost-laden nights this past week, the Clematis has once again graced us with her stunning blooms.
May Days cometh.

And Spring arose on the garden fair,
Like the Spirit of Love felt everywhere;
And each flower and herb on Earth's dark breast
Rose from the dreams of its wintry rest.

~Percy Bysshe Shelley, "The Sensitive Plant

Oh how beautiful. Living further south your clematis blooms much earlier that ours. I hope you have a wonderful start to the Merry Month of May!

You have the grandest purple flowers that I only see on your blog. I see mine is still alive from the winter as a few green leaves are showing up among the dead stems.
