Winter Days

A damp and sunless morning.
The school bus went by when it was barely daylight, those little children have such early starts to their busy days.
I have a list of  chores as long as my arm waiting for attention, but my motivation seems to be running on empty.
The last of the Christmas decorations were returned to their boxes yesterday, although I felt the need to leave a set of  twinkling lights in the kitchen.
Sparkly encouragement is welcomed.

It's too bad kids can't start their school days later in the morning. Probably would learn better if they got more sleep.

So cold for little ones waiting for a bus, but we did it for years

The Christmas decorations were so great to have around. There seems to be empty spaces because the trees looked so great where they were. Cold winter is still here an the glow of lights seemed to warm us. I have always admired that platter that the candle is sitting on.

We should hold Christmas in our hearts and environment throughout the year and leaving some twinkle lights in strategic corners of our home seems to do the trick. Your lighted candle dispels the gloom of post
holiday let-down and warms the atmosphere. So lovely, Jo.

I believe a bit of sparkle is needed too. Especially on gloomy cold winter days. You have a super day, hugs, Edna B.

Twinkling lights do help with that gloomy feeling. I hated taking down the lights from around the fireplace this year. We ordered a string of lights to leave up year round, but they are dim and not like the twinkling Christmas lights so I've taken them down too. Just can't get the look I want. Your candles and lights are always so pretty.

I sorely miss the tree lights in the early morning. I'm the first one up, so it's me with one of the dogs cuddling on the couch. The colorful tree was perfect.

I am sorry I'm unable to motivate you today, because I'm laboring under my own large sack of "meh".... I have so much to do, and all I want to do is crawl back in bed and sleep for a week. I am longing for warm breezes, the heat of the sun, and all I see outside is the blizzard that just fell on our heads. Thank you for your sparkly warmth - this blog always lifts my tired spirits!

Yes, our grandchildren have been going to school in the dark!
However, the mornings and evenings are slowly, slowly getting lighter.

I always think it's nice to see a little sparkle.

Enjoy this last day of January and I wish you a happy February.

All the best Jan
