Autumn's Calling

Despite sultry August days, subtle signs of changing seasons are all around.
Summer days are noticeably shorter. There is a cooler rush to the evening air.
Down on  main street the shopkeepers are displaying their Autumn flowers, and the feel of changing seasons is afoot.
The Summer's Gold Lantana blooms heartily,  as if it knows Summer's loveliest smile, is fleeting.

Such beautiful flowers. Yes, summer is fleeting. There will be a nip in the air before we know it.

Yes, I'm seeing signs of fall around here, too. Leaves beginning to change subtly. The air is nicer, too.

Beautiful photos, although my leaves turning yellow and brown are from intense heat for long periods of time. It still feel like summer here.

I love Autumn, but I'm sad to see summer ending. The new Fall colors popping up are beautiful. You have a wonderful day, hugs, Edna B.

Yes, one of my maples is already turning and I noticed the flowers in mist gardens are past bloom. Summer is so fleeting.

I'm praying that your area did not get the wicked flooding that has caused so much havoc. Stay safe my friend, hugs, Edna B.

Yes I can see fall. When things just stop blooming and the sky colors are changing. We are having high humidity and heat but our grass already looks dormant and fall-like.
