Simple Pleasures

Strawberry season has arrived here in Middle Tennessee.
Handpick your own, or buy by the basketful.
When I was a young girl, I was allergic to fresh strawberries.
Thank goodness, I outgrew that sensitivity.

I had a strawberry sandwich for lunch.

Those are beautiful strawberries! I am looking forward to raspberry season, not too long now, but strawberries are still to come as well.

I read this week that keeping strawberries in a glass jar in the fridge will help them last longer. I am going to have to try that.

I truly love the quote. Sometimes it is just the sitting and enjoying the food or coffee in peace and quiet. Watching the birds fly about and seeing a whole batch of robins being sent off by their parents.

Oh yes it's the little things.

My favourites are the Scottish strawberries. Delicious especially with fruit scones & cream!
