Jo, I hate the ice of storms . The worry of losing power just makes me nuts. I hate the damage ice can do to our trees. Stay warm and be safe. Blessings, xoxo, Susie
Just think of all the lovely photos that we wouldn't have otherwise, though... and there's always a cup of hot tea waiting to be had when you're back inside!
You have such gorgeous pictures! I like the snow as well, but we here in Kansas are getting the cold. -20. Staying inside as best I can. Electric company is doing rolling blackouts. A first for this part of Kansas. Blessings, d
You have to admit, Jo, it makes for really lovely pictures... an icy fairyland. But yes, it is dangerous. We don't have the pretty ice, but our snow has icy roads and streets under it... and more freezing rain and snow coming tonight.
We got a LOT of snow here in Southern Illinois. It's been below freezing since Feb. 6 so nothing has even begun to melt. It is looking better this weekend with higher temps for the foreseeable future. Stay warm!!
Ice can be treacherous, but the photos really are beautiful. I feel so bad for that little squirrel. He looks super cold and hungry. I feel bad for all the woodland creatures having to cope with this wicked cold, snow and ice. I hope you don't lose your power. Stay warm my friend, hugs, Edna B.

Ice is so hard on the trees and shrubs but it is rather pretty though. We got a ton of snow, but it's dry powder so not too bad to shovel.

Certainly makes for some fabulous photographs.
Do please take care, and keep warm.
All the best Jan

It is beautiful but I hope you don't get tree damage. I can't believe how cold we were -17 but now are up to 5 degrees F.
Pretty but so destructive and scary. Those pictures, though, are really beautiful.
Seems like almost everyone got that ice storm. We have layers of snow and ice!!! It is all so pretty though.

Great shots. The squirrel looks like he would like to have an explaination of what is going on right now.
