Nesting

We have had the strangest warm weather these past few days.
Here it is, the middle of winter, and the temperatures have reached a balmy 73 degrees yesterday, folks were running around town, in shorts and flip-flops !
My Iris shoots are popping up out of the ground, twelve inches tall already.
Next week we are in for a true taste of winter, temperatures down in the teens, so out come the scarves and gloves once again.
A good excuse to stay home,  indulge in a nice pot of tea and biscuits, and some rather lovely reading material.

All I can say is enjoy the warmth while you have it ~ the cold days of winter are still in front of us! I am going to go for some hot tea right now!

Yes, please put the kettle on. I really need a good cup of tea right about now...
Glad you are having such nice weather. We had a bit of cold rainy these last few days, but it seems to be getting better this week. I love your reading material. Used to get that magazine myself a few years ago.

That seems awfully warm for January! I'd enjoy it, though, before the return of winter. Happy New Year, dear Jo.

Yes, warm weather does make you feel like relaxing. Not to have to battle the cold is a great thing.

Crazy weather - temperatures up and down here too though not as warm as that.
Love the picture on the cover of the magazine.

We are having very balmy weather too here in Northern Alberta, Canada. No jackets today!

Love your copy of The English Home. Is it a vintage edition?

Chy, yes an older copy, but I like looking through the cottage gardens for inspiration.😁

It looks like you’ve made correct preparations for whatever the weather! Tea, biscuits, good reading material....always a great combination!

We are having your cold weather. It has been in the 30s for days. Enjoy your tea and biscuits. That sounds really good.

In Michigan we've gone from ice (treacherous) to snow. It was truly lovely yesterday morning.
Is that magazine still in publication?

All you can do is to enjoy the nice weather. I feel really bad for the plants. They don't know what to do. I love the pattern on that red and white platter. Enjoy your day, hugs, Edna B.

Janet, yes the publication is still available.

Sounds good to me. We never get tired of looking back through the really beautiful magazines. I would love to see that one. We have had strange weather lately too.

WOW! That is really warm even for your area! We have had a very unusual weather pattern so far this winter, too. We are about 12 degrees ABOVE normal here today at 33 degrees! lol. xo Diana
