Goodbye September

The most perfect of Fall days.
A mere seventy one degrees, sunshine and NO humidity, which is rare as hen's teeth for this part of the country.
Tom-Tilly is chasing leaves around the garden, she seems to have accepted that Oliver is off on his travels, wherever they may have taken him......

An early American writer described Indian Summer well when he wrote, "The air is perfectly quiescent and all is stillness, as if Nature, after her exertions during the Summer, were now at rest."
      ~ John Bradbury 1817

I love the warm days and low humidity...but our past few days have been chilly...too cool so soon. Poor Tom Tilly, may she chase many leaves and enjoy her fun. My grandson saw a picture of Oliver on my phone and said , hey a cat who's is it? LOL He is 3 . I told him about Oliver going to heaven. I miss your cat..can't explain it Jo. Bless you, stay safe xoxo, Susie

Happy travels to you, Oliver.

I do like that quote. Always look forward to an Indian Summer. It's the slower wind down to winter one comes to expect. Christine

What a beautiful post for fall. May Tom-Tilly always have leaves to chase.

What a beautiful quote about Indian Summer. It's perfect. I, too, wish Tom-Tilly many many years to chase the Fall leaves. Maybe a rescue kitten or cat would keep him company? Just a thought. You have a wonderful day, hugs, Edna B.

I agree with the writer about Indian Summer. The air is so different, and the light is more vivid. I always like this time. Phil

The Autumn color is a delight, and it's refreshing to feel the crisp fall breeze :)
