The Fairest Month

I can't believe that June is already upon us,  where have the months gone.
One minute we were watching snowflakes fall, the next the landscape is green and full of new promise.
School children are out on Summer vacation, the sound of laughter returns.
Heat and humidity are now a daily occurrence, followed by cooling, nightly pop-up storms.
The season's first garden-grown tomatoes are ripe for the picking, and those coveted sweet Vidalia onions are back in the stores.
How time flies...….

 "Mine is the Month of Roses; yes, and mine
The Month of Marriages! All pleasant sights
And scents, the fragrance of the blossoming vine,
The foliage of the valleys and the heights.
Mine are the longest days, the loveliest nights;
The mower's scythe makes music to my ear;
I am the mother of all dear delights;
I am the fairest daughter of the year."

~  Henry Wadsworth Longfellow

Such gorgeous pictures. I enjoyed each one. Hoping our rain will stop soon. We had 6 inches just yesterday!
Hope you have an enjoyable day.

You are definitely ahead of us. Tomatoes already? And a praying mantis that size? We had the second hottest May on record and I sure hope that doesn't continue.

I can't believe May has gone and June is here. May is my favorite month of the year, but this May was different. So hot and humid and stormy. Your pictures are beautiful. I have some of the blue flowers in bloom now too. When I bought them a few years ago the tag said Balloon Flower. Such a pretty shade of blue.

Oh you have so many of my favorite things. The cat looks like a new one with the white flowers. Pudding photos of so many things. Clouds are the winner.
