Cottage Love

The cottage homes of England
   By thousands on her plains,
They are smiling o'er the silvery brooks,
   And round the hamlet-fanes.
Thro' glowing orchards forth they peep,
Each from its nook of leaves,
And fearless there the lowly sleep,
As the bird beneath the eaves

I love those little cottages. I see them quite a lot and just love them. I have a set of blue and white ones from Amsterdam that held liquor.

The little cottages are so pretty. Jo, one of my favorite movies (I've seen it at least 10 times, and could watch it again) is The Holiday. When Cameron Diaz went to England and stayed it the little cottage. I fell in love with all four stars in this movie.

This post reminds me of a scene in the movie "Robin Hood" with Russell Crowe. Robin and Prince John are arguing about giving all Englishmen equal rights, and Prince John says "And a castle for every man too?" to which Robin replies "Every Englishman's home IS his castle".

Hope you're doing better each day....

I have a collection of those cottages, too! Haven't seen any on recent trips to UK. Mine are many years old, but I love them.
Hope your recovery is progressing well.
