Mother Nature's Blanket

Mother Nature threw down her blanket shortly after midnight last night, just in time for an artic blast moving through area.
All of Tennessee was under a weather advisory, as was much of the entire nation.

Tonight we are expecting more of the same, stay off the roads if you're able, and throw another log on the fire !

The First Sergeant tells me my snowman looks more like a penguin :)

Natures Blanket is so beautiful layed out across your yard, and if anyone gets a chill they only have to look at your side bar to get warm. A fire, hot tea and visions of spring flowers.
Thanks for the birds, well cared for.

Oh, the birds are going to be very hungry over the next couple of days.

Beautiful pictures!

You have given a beautiful pictorial record of the snow.
I stayed in which is what I tend to do. :-)

Stay warm.

I am not looking for more snow, the mess we have is quite enough! We did have some entertainment with watching the traffic slipping and sliding today though. There will be no school tomorrow, LOL! It's a good thing we don't have to go anywhere! They don't plow or sand our road at all. The snow is pretty and Jill is having a blast, but it could melt and be April in the morning and I would be a happy camper!

I'm crossing my fingers that we don't get any, the boys have already missed a few days due to the snow. Last year it was into June before the boys got out of school.

I love your lil' snowman!

What a beautiful blanket; but a chilly one I think.

Much the same here in Colorado. A chilly 7 degrees now. A big pot of stew is simmering on the stove. Stay in; stay warm. cheers. ann

Unlike rain, snow presents itself so beautifully on the subjects they touched on... in my opinion !

I think you all have gotten more snow this winter than we have here up north, but it's coming in tonight. This is one of those years I'm not minding it so much. Maybe it's because I don't have to go out and walk to class every day anymore, or maybe it's because of all the sweet southern bloggers who seem so enthralled with it. Either way, it looks prettier to me this year too.
Thanks for that.

Been snowing off and on for days. Suppose to snow again tonight.

I'm signed up at Designer Blog to get a makeover but I won't make it to the top of the list until Feb. Wonder what design they will come up with this time.

When the cottage on the curve sells I'll be moving closer to you. I'm not sure if I'll move back to Franklin or live in Nashville. Depends on where I find work.

I love Nashville and can't wait to move back. I'm starting all over again.

Hugs!

Patti

That cardinal picture is gorgeous! They are all wonderful, but that one is my favorite. Stay warm and cozy while the weather is cold in TN.

We are receiving a snow that is so much more sparkly than usual. It is like a sugar snow. Your photos are great.

Lovely pictures! It's amazing that the South has had so much snow recently. Memphis used to have snow often when I was a child, but that was decades ago. Family says they certainly have snow now!

Time for veggie soup and cornbread!

Hugs!

Your photos are magical! When I saw the cardinal on the birdfeeder, i gasped. Breath-taking! Remember that the birds need water as well as food. I put out a fresh pan of warm water every hour or so during the freezes.

Your photos are wonderful! I would love to have a yard that looks like yours. I'm working on it but one must learn to practice patience when growing a yard 'from scratch' :D for the critters. :)

We live in Tennessee also but I think you got a lot more snow than we did. The pictures are so pretty but I am going to have to say that I am really looking forward to warmer weather! I am new to your blog. I really like it.
