It Is Christmas.

It is Christmas in the mansion,
Yule-log fires and silkin frocks.
It is Christmas in the cottage,
Mother filling little socks.
It is Christmas in the highway,
In the thronging, busy mart.
But the dearest, truest Christmas
Is the Christmas in the heart.

I used to clear the decks and put away everything and replace it with Christmas things . . . thank heaven insanity finally gave way to sanity. My Christmas decoration is about embellishing what I have rather than doing everything Christmas! I like the house much better -- we have the big tree, greens, candles and poinsettias and amaryllis . . . what more could you want!

Lovely house, lovely pictures -- love your potting shed and it's decorations!
