I...Iowa has areas where there are oak tree groves. I think the settlers brought them with them as we had no trees in Iowa two hundred years ago. The groves near the Bridges of Madison County are beautiful on the rolling hills. We have one tree in our church parking lot and by the end of the fall, the squirrels have all of the acorns pulverized. Beautiful photos.L.
