Summertime

Incredible blue skies and sunshine today. Lots of the stuff, it surely feels like we are slap in the midst of summer with this 91 degree heat.
The flowers are bursting out in full bloom, a virtual rainbow of colors, each day, a new surprise.
We have a new set of twin fawns, and momma deer has decided the time is right to make their appearance, sprightly little things, all bouncy and curious.
Pop-up storms make their way through each evening, a welcomed gesture to cool the night air.
We'll take whatever help we can get.

Dear Jo,
Beautiful photos so green and rich. We had 2 fawns born behind the barn this year. I only saw them twice. Their mother hid them away. All that was left was a cozy little place where they had spent the nights.

Good to see you out and about. The soft side of nature is so soothing.

Here in Southern Illinois we've had a cold front come in. Tonight it is supposed to be in the 50's. Highly unusual for this time of year but I will take it. Gorgeous photos.

Oh how wonderful that mama deer feels safe about bringing her children by to meet you. And all those baby turkeys too! My idea of heaven, having God's beautiful critters coming by for a visit. Those photos of the sky are gorgeous. Have a peaceful day my friend, hugs, Edna B.
