Through The Garden Gate

Gorgeous blue skies and sunshine today.
The perfect day for pottering in the garden, and cleaning away Winter's grime.
The flowers are returning faster than we can count, each day, a new color.
A little spring cleaning, it's good for the soul...

You have such a beautiful garden. I always enjoy the pictures you take of it. So much color! It was a gorgeous day here too but I didn't have a chance to get to work in the yard. I really must for it is a mess!

Your yard is so pretty! Seems to me like the flowers are prettier this year than they've been in several years. The yellow flowers in your last post, Tickseed, I think you said, are beautiful!

A lovely selection of flowers.
I'm intrigued as to why some flowering plants are caged in. I assume you must have wildlife visitors which like the taste of them.

Yes Midmarsh: we have white-tail deer, who eat everything in sight...
Sadly, if we don't protect the flowers, they would all be gobbled up.

Your flowers are lovely. Would you tell me what variety the purple flowers are in photos 3-5. Thank you!

EAS: so sorry I meant to reply to your question earlier, those flowers are Penstemons. They return each year from seed.
Hope this helps.

You have had to work so hard to keep the deer away. Everything is beautiful.
