Under The Weather

A dark and rainy day today.
I confess to not even changing out of my night clothes yet, and the clock has just struck three in the afternoon.
What's the point, I'm not expecting visitors.
Days seem to run together, cocooned in isolation, our little world as we know it, turned upside down.
Even the cats are tired of us being in their space.
*sigh*.

Oh - I would love a cat but alas, my husband is allergic to so many things! Hang in there and do take care!

Yep, Jo..... I understand. ((((((((((hugs))))))))))) I hit a bit of a "brick wall" earlier this week. I'm feeling a tad bit better now but... well... it's still hard, isn't it. Hang in there, my friend. If you will, I will too. Love, Andrea xoxo

At least I've got plenty of company sitting here in my own doldrums. Sending you virtual hugs, Jo. :-)

Hi there!
I know what you mean. Usually I am busy, busy, busy no matter if working f/t or not. Today I sat at the kitchen table for hours just watching birds at my feeder. While I love it, nothing else got done except for dumping litter boxes. :( My dogs and cats are loving me home all the time so I'm pretending to be retired - my dream that will never come true.

The days do run together. Dan asked me two times this morning, are you sure it's Friday? Hopefully, things will get better soon. Makes me happy to be outside but it's too wet this morning. You have such beautiful things, like in the picture, I might enjoy being on lock-down in your home...to enjoy all the beauty.

I do the same thing lots of days. But things will be getting better soon. Hang in there friend, He loves us and He's going to help us get through this. You have a pleasant day. Curl up with a cup of tea and a good book. Hugs, Edna B.

Days running into each other and looking around a bit addled by idleness is the prescription for coming out of this dam-panic (term compliments of Susan Branch) vague and atrophied. Pinch yourself
and find a funny book to lift your spirits. I have been reading a bit of "the 2,000 year-old man in the year" to gain perspective and exercise my laughing muscles...it has helped. Cockeyed optimist that
I am, I believe we will come out of this stronger and wiser and more grateful, while learning a bit of
ingenuity in the process.... Have a lovely weekend, Jo.

Wait, you're "confessing" to not changing out of your night clothes - in ONE DAY? Sweetie, you're adorable. I'm rocking the same pajamas three days solid over here, and that includes taking out the trash where the neighbors might see me!

Okay, maybe too much information, but lawdy - we can stand on a tree stump and shout "WATER CONSERVATION" over here! For every "I am doing quarantine wrong" thought you have, there are at least three ecological fist-pumps you can wave.

Haven't showered in a week? WATER CONSERVATION. Haven't gone shopping for food in two weeks and now you're eating peanut butter and crackers? FUEL CONSERVATION. Can't stand talking to anyone in your house for another second? MEDITATION TIME.

Look for the silver lining, sister! And keep smiling. If you need some insane distraction, just pop over to my blog and let it all hang out.

I hope you are feeling better. It is hard to get up the gumption to do things when we know there are no timelines to be met and no one to appreciate the things we do---outside of a spouse if you are lucky. (or unlucky)..lol xo Diana

Totally understandable. It's just me and my two dogs. Most days are pretty good but some are darn right scary. Today was a good day, it was beautiful and sunny, first day in weeks I didn't need gloves to walk the dogs. Sat out on the patio this afternoon and turned the music up. Hope you're feeling better.

Found your blog today. I hope you'll feel better soon. It's rainy here in Maryland as well. It would be nice to sit by the deck but everything is wet.
Take care.
