The Nesting Season

The ground is soaked from a day of rain. Much needed rain, for which we are grateful.
I've been busy running errands today, ticking off my to-do list.
Hearty soups have now become the meal of choice.
Nights are noticeably cooler, and darkness falls before the clock strikes five.
Candlelight glows.
The nesting season begins.

Jo, We are busy chasing our own tails , preparing for winter. Trying to clean up the yard, putting things into sheds and tomorrow will be more of the same. Prep the generator in case...Drain ponds. It's seems unending, since I have to do so much with Ted trying his best to help. I miss those long hours of daylight we had in summer. LOL. Blessings to you my friend, xoxo, Susie

The warm cheery house looks inviting on a cold or wet day! Phil

Once we have the time change back to standard, it seems to get dark almost before the day begins! We've had days and days of sunshine but that changes today, with us getting some rain to make things seem normal again. :-)

I'll have to close up my little porch now for the winter. That's when I'll be starting my counting down to Spring when I can open the porch again. I miss the long hours of daylight too. You have a wonderful day, hugs, Edna B.
