Misty Autumn Morn

I Saw old Autumn in the misty morn
Stand shadowless like Silence, listening
To silence, for no lonely bird would sing
Into his hollow ear from woods forlorn,
Nor lowly hedge nor solitary thorn;—
Shaking his languid locks all dewy bright
With tangled gossamer that fell by night,
Pearling his coronet of golden corn.

~ Thomas Hood : Autumn (1798-1845

Love your picture Jo. It is sort of strange to drive along a road in early morn and come upon a field with fog floating over it. I love that sweet silence . Blessings , xoxo, Susie

I am hoping that the moisture is falling to the ground.

This is a gorgeous picture! Living in the city as I do, I forget sometimes just how beautiful the wide open spaces are. A cornfield in the mist is lovely.

What a beautiful photo. I love watching the mist rising above an open field or over a pond. Just awesome. You have a wonderful day, hugs, Edna B.
