Autumn Silence

I had a doctors appointment yesterday, or so I thought...
Got all dolled up and signed in at the reception desk, only to be told it was next Monday, I think I am losing the plot.
I detest going to the doctors, I seem to suffer from "white coat syndrome." My blood pressure shoots up, and the physicians seeking an accurate blood pressure reading are frustrated.
So repeat next week.

To make up, I'm enjoying a day of quiet time . The trees are changing color, and Autumn leaves are making a show, finally.
Some days it's good to do nothing. No deadlines to meet, no chores to complete, no lists to check twice.
Bliss.

I suffer the same 'White Coat Syndrome' when it comes to BP readings. About 3 years ago I bought a home upper arm BP machine. I check it a couple of time a week and keep the records on my iPad. When I have to go for a BP check I show them my home results which are just fine.

I have the occasional day like that, too. They don't happen often. Good luck next week! :-)

Jo, I totally agree about the days when we have nothing to do but enjoy the day or relax. I do not like dr. appts either. We are seeing one every week it seems. Blessings to you, xoxo, Susie

Can I come sit on your porch swing? So pretty there. I know what you mean about the BP. That happens to me too. It's good to have a quiet day though.

So frustrating to get mixed up on appointments but glad the rest of the day was pleasant.

I just love your porch swing. I could sit out there all day. My Pogo would love it too. We seem to share the same BP problem. As soon as I leave the doctors office or the hospital, my BP goes down. Enjoy your day of relaxing on this awesome swing. Hugs, Edna B.

I love a day with nothing to do, no place I have to go.

Many do seem to experience 'White Coat Syndrome' when it comes to BP readings.

That's a lovely photograph.

All the best Jan

I know exactly how you feel.
I love it when I get a day with no appointments or meetings. Strange, I thought that would all stop once I retired but in those days I didn't have doctors' or hospital appointments!
Hope it all goes well next week.

Love your swing!

I have the same issue with blood pressure, and don't know what to do about it! It's good to have a day for doing nothing.

Doctors! You can't live with them and you can't live without them! My BP is always higher when the little wrist thing is used. The old fashioned one says I'm fine.

I don't comment often on your blog but do love it. The black background makes all the lovely photos even prettier.

Peace and blessings for your doctor visit!
