Evening Visitors

Under a cold spell for the past few days the resident deer have been showing up at the water trough.
A group of eight does, mamas and their babies.
All fat and healthy, they have quite a variety to choose from in the nearby pasture and woods.
My arborvitaes  however, seem to be their favorites.

I would like deer in my garden but I guess they eat the wrong things.

My goodness, your deer come right out in clear view, don't they. I will be glad when deer hunting season is over around here! Poor deer. The picture with the clouds is so beautiful.

Such beautiful creatures. They do look quite well fed. :-)

Grazing deer seem to make the landscape look authentically peaceful. Love the sun set sky.

Jo, I love the sky shot. Of course seeing the deer is so heart touching. Hope they do not eat your young trees and bushes. Take care and enjoy the beautiful season. Blessings to you, xoxo, Susie

Beautiful sky with your herd of deer in the yard. It is peaceful to see them there in the fall when they aren’t clearing your flower beds.
