Making A Start

The Christmas decorating has begun.
A little here, a little there, and before you know it, the house is transformed with the magic of Christmas.

Later this evening, the tree will get decorated, sparkly faerie lights, dried apples and orange slices, baubles and red wooden-bead garlands.
Rust-colored Christmas bells, and  grape-vine mini wreaths.
Ornaments from seasons past,  reminding of treasured memories.

Hot chocolate simmers on the stove, as two portly felines watch with interest.
'Tis the season.

It is all looking really good. I can see those cats watching and wondering what you are doing to their house. Hot chocolate sounds good.

Love it! The two portly felines looking on with interest is a great line. :-)

I just know how beautiful it will be there when you are finished. I love how your home has that dim glow. It just looks so elegant, like we were talking about Tasha Tudor's home.

We are about to start with the decorating too Jo. It's always nice to make the home look more cosy. Yours is coming on well.

I got mine done last week, took 3 days. It seems to take longer these days. At least now I am organized so next year I should know where everything is. I will try to leave it up till the end of January to make it all worth while. Love Christmas decorations.
