Seeing Spots

Moma deer, decided it was safe to share her new fawn with us this week.
A sprightly little thing, all bouncy and full of energy..
She'd been keeping it hid amongst the wildflowers, running any other deer who came close, off up the field.
As you are well aware, I moan a lot about the deer eating everything in sight, but I must admit, seeing these spirited little creatures, so full of life, stirs my very soul.

It is a sweet thing. It is fun to see a mother hoover over her young and protect the young one.

such beautiful photos,, I complained about them eating my plants and flowers as well, they say they won't eat daffodils, so I planted some in each cluster of tulips,, they ate all around the daffs lol,, and ate all my crocus, and most of my bleeding hearts and cedars,, but like you said, they are pretty lol,,

How can anyone resist those big beautiful eyes? I am thankful Millie chases them out of our yard. There seems to be an invisible fence that lets the deer know when they are close enough. Your photos are wonderful. I especially like the one where the sweet little one is watching you from beyond the old fence.

Oh, how very lovely your little spotted visitor is. I am glad you enjoy them all you can even though you enclose your flowers in fences. I don't have deer at my here but may move in a few years to where there will be some. I enjoyed them very much as a child.
Have a wonderful day.

It is so cute! We've seen a few spots around here too. I don't know how baby deer survive in the wild. Seems like there is always something after them, especially dogs. I dread deer season coming up again...in September. :(
