Heat Lover

The Crepe Myrtle bush is in full bloom, it's flowers will put on this show for the better part of a month.
The bees and Hummingbirds are drawn to it's huge Watermelon Red blooms.
It loves the summer heat, I have offered it my portion.

So very pretty! I love the deep color. I have a couple of white crepe myrtles. I love when the blooms drift down... I think of snow.... and it is nearing 100 degrees here. Have a beautiful weekend. Hugs!

Poppy and I were in Wake Forest this morning and I was noticing the Crepe Myrtles were in bloom. There was not even one that could compare to the beauty of yours. The blooms here are skimpy looking. Yours are beautiful!
