Tales of a British expat, transplanted into the lush Tennessee countryside.
Morning! Just stopping in to say hey and wish you a Merry Christmas.
I think the longest night for me as a child was a little bit later in the month when Santa would come :)
Such simple words... such simple picture... but brings such beauty & peace! Thank you for posting this, honey. I don't know if anybody else needs it or not but I sure did. Much love~ Andrea xxx
Ahhh the winter solstice....after this day we gain a little more daylight and eventually Spring will be here and we'll be back in our gardens once more! Merry Christmas!
It may be the longest night but it starts to turn around tomorrow :)! Have a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
I can now watch the sun move back to the other side of the horizon.
Tonight my ten year old grandson Wesley is spending the night. We took our time doing the evening animal chores and walked about the farm as dark settled on us. I read him O'Henry's Gift of the Magi and we ate popcorn while watching a movie. A perfect long winter's evening. Merry Christmas to you, I have certainly appreciated your blog in 2017 and can't wait to see what lovely photos you'll share in 2018.
