Autumn Days

Finally, a little Autumn color has crept in.
Just enough to remind us, that the year is winding down, and soon, a long sleepy winter will be our companion.
A time to regenerate our weary souls, and make new plans for the coming year ahead.
A time to dream.

...I see
the turning of a leaf
dancing in an autumn sun,
and brilliant shades of crimson
glowing when a day is done...

Just lovely. And yes, a time for reflection while we settle into our winter days. But right now it's just lovely. :-)

Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful, Jo!! Our leaves are late in turning also, here in northmost Indiana... but the cold is a bit on the early side. I enjoy winter too. My weary bones always need the peace, quiet, early darkness of the season. :) Autumn blessings~ Andrea XXX

Such beautiful pictures, Jo. I never thought of winter as a time of renewal, but it really is.

Beautiful pictures. It seems as tho we jump from 2 weeks of glorious spring to oh my goodness it's hot summer. Now with freeze warnings for this weekend we are jumping from wonderful fall to holy cow turn on the heat winter. But I am ready for no more water hose dragging days. At least for a little while. I do have 220 daffodil bulbs to set out as soon as the ground cools a bit. So I better not put that hose away just yet. Thank you for your blog. I enjoy it very much.

All the photos are so great. I can tell now that your greens are fading. Your leaves are so great in the sunshine. Your arrangements are always so fun to see.
