Indian Summer

Indian Summer is upon us. Balmy warm days, mist-laden nights.
One last chance to indulge in fleeting Summer pleasures.

An early American writer described Indian Summer well when he wrote, "The air is perfectly quiescent and all is stillness, as if Nature, after her exertions during the Summer, were now at rest."
      ~ John Bradbury 1817

Thank the Lord our temps went down today. It was 97 yesterday and frost expected on Friday. That's Michigan. I am relieve, the humid heat has me sick. Lethargic and just yuck. At this point can we please wait for the Indian summer. Hope all is well down your way

It's my favorite time of the year. We're experiencing one last gasp of summer weather today, and tomorrow the rain starts. I don't mind. :-)

We are having a warm humid day today that seems nice as I was tired of it being cold.
