Garden Burglar

I trust you found my Hollyhocks to your liking last night ?
*sigh* (insert sweary word)

Isn't that just so frustrating? They eat the heads off the lilies right before they are about to bloom, the rosebuds when they are ready to explode, the hostas just when they get nice and lush.....enter swear word here. :)

Maybe the hollyhocks are what make the deer so lovely!
Sorry about your plants.
My friend has similar woes with her garden.

Jo, I don't know how people deal with deer eating things...rabbits, squirrels and chipmunks make me crazy here. If the rabbits aren't eating the new sprouts, the other critters eat the birds' seed. I hope they didn't eat all the hollyhocks. Blessings, xoxo, Susie

You really have a time with deer and wild turkeys.
They are putting out more plants that are deer proof.
We planted a lot when we lived in Arkansas. Even the rabbits didn't eat them.

I wouldn't mind a deer eating my stuff in the garden if I got to watch it up really close like that. All I get are slugs & grey squirrels (rats with furry tails as my husband calls them).

It's a gorgeous photo.

It is a hard trade off, isn't it? I have a friend that lives in a neighbor hood where the deer keep all things trimmed back for them.
