Porch Days

Incredible blue skies and sunshine today. Lots of the stuff, it surely feels like we are in the midst of summer with this 90 degree heat.
True to form, my dearest decides to landscape, in this blazing sun, he tolerates the extreme Southern heat and humidity much more than I do.
Norseman's blood runs through my veins, after the temperature rises above 80 degrees I'm wilted like a head of week-old lettuce.
I do very well cleaning off the porches, with a little shade overhead, so with my trusty feline companions by my side, I'm scrubbing tables, and chairs, and being the cold water-runner, when I see the gardener flailing.

Your summer has arrived!!! Wouldn't it be terrific if we could just have nice WARM weather all through summer. How enjoyable it would be. I'm another wilted lettuce. I'm still functioning but in a months time I'll go into hibernation till September.

Jo, I too think it's too hot for May. I like cooler temps , such as 65 degrees. I have cleaned our porch and painted many things...but can't sit out due to the winds and heat. Bummer. Hope we don't have a scorching summer. Blessings to you and all your helpers. xoxo, Susie

There is nothing like sitting on the porch at the end of the day and watching for the first fireflies to come out .. I have a screened lanai on my home .. it isn't bad .. mosquitoes can't get me . But I do love a big front porch.

Is it permissible to drool at your porch? And those lovely ferns. Looks kind of perfect.

I hate to be hot...or sweaty. haha. And I've been known to take drinks out to the gardener, too! :)
