Less Of Me

It seems as though the entire family is trying to diet.
After many long weeks of nesting, and partaking of comfort foods, more than a few pounds have crept up on us.
It's all so depressing, I'm only hoping that these days ahead of sunshine and warm weather, will encourage more time spent outside moving, and less time sitting.

When I go to the doctor, I kick off my shoes and lay my purse aside and wear the lightest cotton clothes I have. 65 years old and still worrying about my weight. I too have put on pounds this winter - I blame it on being a slug and eating candy - Halloween, Xmas, Valentines and soon Easter. I did however, buy a doggie stroller for my weenies and took them on a walk this morning. Came back huffing and puffing, nearly got lost and came in for water and sat down. Some progress anyway.

Me too, started today. It's hard and I don't want to do it.
If only it would come off as quick as it goes on and be as noticeable. Sigh!!! pfffft I don't wanna......

Well, Lent starts this Wednesday... and although it's not a long term fix, it's a good start for 40 days! We usually give up sweets and chocolate as it's our biggest undo-er.

I had a friend who was always careful of her weight but always seemed to not diet. but not be overweight.
She said that when holidays came, the need to control her eating was more important than what she ate.
So she ate anything she wanted , for one day.
Then back onto the strict part of no carbs , no sugar etc.
It made her not give up because it was so strict .. she had that one day of having what she wanted.
What was funny was when she said, when she ate something that was forbidden, it didn't taste half as good as she thought it would :)

Be strong darlin! you can do it !!

Well, I've been getting an amazing number of steps and miles on my Fitbit...18,000 steps and 7.5 miles today...I just don't understand why the roll around my waist is getting bigger, and the pounds are NOT coming off. It drives me crazy! :)

Lovely pics of the little girls! I feel your dieting pain, I've been cutting back on white sugar and white flour and finally seeing tiny results. My chore time outside with animals does help but I need to be walking lots more. I'll encourage you if you encourage me. Go girl!

I'm sure this nice warm weather will keep you outside pottering around. A whole different mindset. You'll be fine

I have gained a few pounds over the winter, too. I try to make sure to deal with them when they first appear but sometimes it take more than a little work, doesn't it? Good luck to both of us! :-)

Join the club winter means comfort food for some of us and there go gaining some weight but that's the way nature intended it to be for those of us who live in a climate that has cold winters . Love the photo . Happy March .

i think most of us are feeling like that after the winter and the holidays!

Try my fat free cottage cheese and greek yogurt plan I talked about early in January. It didn't seem like a diet because dinner was normal..even with dessert. :)

What a fab picture. Love it! I struggle to keep my weight down through having an underactive thyroid. I had expected to have put loads of weight on after a 5 week cruise down under. For some strange reason I didn't yet I hadn't swum or done the round the deck walks we normally do.
The only thing I did different to previous holidays & cruises was drink absolutely gallons of water due to having a water infection. I also didn't have any swollen ankles which I normally have. The downside was I had to go to the loo a lot!!!
