Winter Sky

The weather has warmed.
The rain has washed away any signs of lingering snow and ice.
The Robins are feeding on earthworms, the ground once again soft and wet.
A dark and cozy Winter day, to be savored.

" The best kind of rain, of course, is a cozy rain.
This is the kind the anonymous medieval poet makes me remember, the rain that falls on a day when you'd just as soon stay in bed a little longer, write letters or read a good book by the fire, take early tea with hot scones and jam and look out the streaked window with complacency. "

Yes, that is the best kind of rain...
and yes, you may most definitely put the kettle on.

Yup sounds like it has been here lots of rain all green again no trace of snow left and very mild temps with winds on and off . Sunshine for us here tomorrow so I am pleased about that always nice to have sun shine this time of year . Thanks for sharing , have a good weekend.

No Robins here, but we are warm, wet and soggy! Everything is going to freeze over the weekend, though...

The sky sure looks familiar to me. I also love a "cozy rain" but mostly go out walking in it anyway. :-)

I like the cozy rains, but we seem to never get them here. We are warmed a bit but are getting ready for the ice coating that is soon to happen.
