Woolly Socks And Flip-Flops

Winter has settled in, bare landscapes now prevail.
We've been spoiled up until this point, with warmer than usual days, many not requiring the wearing  of a jacket.
Last night temperatures cooled and fell into the twenties, no more flip-flops, now the winter boots and woolly socks appear.
The birds have taken to their nests, leaving me with just one sweet little friend.
Such are the days of winter.

You have had a long Autumn!

Here, it has been cool, then cold, for some time. But this is Winter in the upper NE.

I don't like ice. Nor do I wander around in snow. But I couldn't live anywhere else. I need the 4 distinct seasons. :-)

Wishing you a cozy fireplace, a comfy chair, and a warm throw, for your knees... While you read... :-)

Winter has settled in here also. Ah, autumn was lovely while it lasted. I love your picture of the tablescape. Beautiful!

Crumbs the twenties! That's quite warm Jo. It's about 8C in the Northeast of the UK & that's not bad for December. Coping at the moment without the central heating too as we're having new radiators fitted.

Love your photos.

Winifred: that would be minus six degrees converted to Celsius. Tonight it drops down even more :)
Wrap up snugly !

That doesn't look like winter! It's not all white!

Another beautiful post! They say we have really really cold temperatures coming...starting today! No warming up today but getting colder and windier as the day goes on.
