Tales of a British expat, transplanted into the lush Tennessee countryside.
From here on, the days will get longer and the nights shorter. How wonderful! Have a wonderful solstice celebration, Jo. :-)
Happy solstice. I do prefer winter but it is just a little too cold at the moment. I welcome the longer days and some wintery sunshine
Ohhh yes! The shortest day and the longest night!!!!! I love it. Actually, I do not mind early twilight. I always find it cozy. But my husband has to fight against it depressing him. So I understand those, who do not like winter nights. And who are thrilled, with the fact, of more and more sunlight, will be coming. We had our Eve Of Yule tiny celebration, last night. Today is the actual Yule/Winter Solstice, and I will enjoy that toooo.Yule blessings to you.Coming Christmas Eve Joy to you.Coming Christmas Day Joy to you.Luna Crone
from now on the days are getting longer again, I´m really looking forward to it, like to get up early, but on these dark days it´s difficult for me.
I like it when the days are getting a little longer and the nights a little shorter. Now we are heading toward spring again. :)
I'm farther north than you so we don't have equal day and night. Our daylight is less than 9 1/2 hours. I will be glad to see a little more daylight. And warmer temperatures. But all in good time.
I am glad the middle is done and that earth can start tilting back. You lighted candle is beautiful.
