My Christmas list is slowly getting finished.
A few more gifts to seek out and wrap, and  then it's on to making a batch of fudge and pecan praline candy.
Our Christmases are not nearly as busy as they once were when the grandchildren were small and the toys were endless, that's OK too, less is more.
I hope everyone is plodding along nicely.

Yes, plodding along nicely... kind of. After spending 2 weeks in New Orleans recently, I'm a little behind on Christmas. But I have bought a few gifts, written a few Christmas cards, and doing some Christmas baking today. Christmas will come, ready or not!

A few more gifts to pick up, the silver needs to be polished, the table set, a good dusting of the house and some baking to finish. I have a few more cards to send out and groceries to order. I'm excited about Christmas with two grandbabies to spoil but I think I'm more excited about the 2.5 weeks after the big day to stay home, nest, read, paint, write and sleep! Best gift ever from my employer. Wishing you well Jo as you continue to tick off items on your list. X Chy

Everything in your home looks sparkling clean and beautiful. I love those dishes. Your posts make me want to get out the dusting cloth and Old English furniture polish and go to work.

Hi Jo,

Sounds like you are almost ready and your house certainly looks like it is ready. I have finally accepted the fact that I won't be decorating this year. It kinda broke my heart for a minute, but then I got over it. What matters is that I can be with my family and next year we will have our wonderful house to decorate. Enjoy the holiday getting ready! Such lovely photos, Jo. Really Christmas-y.

Eric and I have a quiet Christmas with just the two of us as our families are all scattered across the country, and across the pond.

I hope you and your family enjoy a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

Oh yes, Christmas is now simple, around here.

A few years ago, I *introduced* my family, to a simple Christmas. I was looked on as "Mrs. Scrooge" for a while, but they came around. ,-)

Only gifts for grands. Money for the older ones, and their mom gets a present each for the 2 younger, and we pay her.

No more extended family gifts.

My husband and I exchange something, we really want.

What a wonnnnderful relief, from years of Christmas stress!!!!!!!!

I am so sorry that you have had a bad health year. Certainly hope that will soon be over, and the New Year, will be pain free.

My knee is getting much better. With a bit of Prednisone, to knock out my body's inflammation. And my new no-added-sugar eating. (Sugar makes inflammation... Arthritis has the inflammation component)

Wishing you candle light, sparkles, and sugar plum dreams,
Luna Crone

Looks great, very Christmassy.

It will probably be the same last minute rush just like it was when I worked. I think I'm just a last minute person.
