Sunshine And Shadows

The calendar tells us it's almost November, and yet our days are still filled with hours of sunshine.
86 degrees worth of the stuff, and no rain in over five weeks now.
Watering the shrubs has become a ritual, the ground is parched and cracked.
November days ahead and we are still wearing shorts and flip-flops.
At this rate, we'll be doing our Christmas shopping in them.

Still summer in your neck of the woods..you're lucky. Enjoy the weather while you can, though obviously you need the rain. Here in Greece the rains started weeks ago and today for the first time I'm wearing long sleeves. What are your winters usually like.....I'll find out soon by reading your blog lol

Lucky you, I see winter coming here in Michigan and I am not at all ready for it. I relish a sunny day, who knows how many are left before snow flies in ernest.

And the same here! Temperatures in the mid 80's and very dry. We had 7" of rain with Hurricane Matthew, but I think all that rushed into the pond. I am watering plants every other day. I do enjoy the warm sunny days and try to remember how gloomy and cold it will be in January and February. I love the beautiful orange and fall pictures in your last post. It is always warm and beautiful around your home.

We have warmed up again too. We did have some chilly weather where I cursed the state that I live in, but now it is good.
