Simple Pleasures

When I was a young girl, I was allergic to fresh strawberries.
Thank goodness, I outgrew that antagonism.

Jo, those are good looking berries. Are you growing them. I've wanted to try the new little alpine white ones that are supposedly so sweet and flavorful.

I agree wholeheartedly.
It is the simple things each day- like strawberries :)- that give me the greatest pleasure.

That's terrible being allergic to strawberries but how great you outgrew it.

My granddad had an allotment & grew strawberries, they were delicious. Mind you so were the gooseberries, blackberries & I loved his tomatoes were fantastic. My favourites were the little yellow ones he grew especially for me. They were so sweet I used to eat them like sweets, well sweets were rationed at the time just after the war.

I love seeing and smelling strawberries...but I not longer eat them or any berries...because of the tiny seeds...dr. told me no more. So sad for me. But I do enjoy seedless jelly and jams. Bless you Jo. xoxo, Susie
