Autumn Longing

Ooh, it's been a glorious day......
One of those days, where the temperature has cooled, and the humidity has returned to the point of  tolerable.
A breezy porch-sitting day.
You can feel that Fall is in the air, just around the corner, and I'm excited,  because it is my favorite season.
I entered this world on a cool autumn evening, day's such as this are like a coming home of sorts, a kinship to my genetic roots.

"Whilst August yet wears her golden crown,
Ripening fields lush- bright with promise;
Summer waxes long, then wanes, quietly passing
Her fading green glory on to riotous Autumn."

Where is the old moss-covered bench Jo? It has cooled here too, rare for this time of year. Perhaps we will have an early autumn.

Autumn sounds good to me too. Once the weather gets this hot, with no rain, and the trees and grass look withered and brown, it's time for a new season. I love fall!

I love fall and am looking forward to it. But I'd like to keep summer just a little bit longer.

I am a lover of autumn, too. Thank you for the lovely post and yes, I'll sit for awhile with you on the bench. :-)

I can feel and see the fall weather that is in the future. The movement of the sun and moon shows me that the earth is titling. That is a great writing.

Jo, I love the old bench and the poem. I also have an old bench under the pines here...not safe to sit on, I am sure. :):) Blessings, xoxo, Susie
