Hotter Than A Pepper Sprout.

We seemed to have transitioned from pleasantly warm days, to HOT.
Days in the high nineties with high humidity makes outdoor activities a challenge, calling for lots of drinking water, and the wearing of light clothing.

We are under a heat advisory for the next few days, 97 degrees, if you can avoid staying outside especially for long periods of time, then it is best to do so.
Even the birds have taken to their nests.....

Here too Jo. Hard to stay outside for any length of time. I'd be happy for some clouds. Oliver reminded me of Teddy. I still miss him so.

The same is happening here. I stay inside as much as possible and venture out only when the sun has set. And this from a woman who LOVES summer and hot weather. But 103* is just too hot.

We're supposed to reach 95 in a few days. And this is why I love fall and winter! haha.

Wow, that is HOT. And poor Ollie is wearing a fur coat. :-)

JO, It's sad to see animals and birds being too hot. I have been changing the bird's waters daily. Your beautiful Oliver...he is one handsome cat. Blessings, stay cool and do not be outside too long. xoxo, Susie

I don't mind the heat. The sweating, however ... ugh.

Even we have temperatures above 90 the last few days and today it will be 95 degr.F. As we are not used to such high temperatures in our country, the newspapers have it on their frontpages and I.......I managed to do some gardening work early in the morning and have been picking prunes. The rest of the day I stay inside computering or sitting outside in the shade with a drink or two, three...

Ugh ! I hate the words heat advisory ! I expect them though, now that I am living in Florida. So far though, it has been very nice .. not too hot . and everywhere you go is usually over air conditioned .

It is so hot that our neighbor's cat won't come over to beg for food. Oliver has found a good place to lay. Barney sleeps upside down on days like this to cool his belly.
