Plodding Along

Just a little update on my recovery......
I'm still confined to the rehab center, so sadly not home yet.
My days are filled with therapies, physical, occupational, and respiratory, phew.
I'm still on non-weight bearing status, so not much progress on returning to walking yet.
I feel blessed to have such caring individuals involved with my daily routine, especially the ones who keep me supplied with cups of hot tea.
Thank you for all of the encouraging well-wishes, they truly brighten my day.

Hope you get home soon. No matter how well we are taken care of, there's no place like home.

I keep visualizing you at home putting the kettle on. One of these days the magic will work! :-)

Bless your heart ... at least the time of year will not drive you to distraction with sunshine and flowers while you have to stay still. Be a cat ... sleep, eat, purr ... sleep ... eat ... :)

Oh my, you must be so anxious to get home. Although, I'm sure you have made a few new friends at the rehab center. I hope it won't be long now for you. I know there are two kitties and a hubby waiting patiently. :)

Jo, I do hope you get home soon! And when you do, a lovely lazy Spring and Summer await.

I do hope the days go by quickly for you! You will have left in winter and will be returning in full blown spring, won't you! That will make going home all the sweeter! Hugs...

Little by little, and bit by bit. SUDDENLY it will all come together and you will be WALKING again.

I heard that patience is a learned virtue.

Bless your heart Jo. I'm really out of the loop. I sure hope you feel better soon and get back home. I've been under the weather myself and I'm so sorry to hear . Hugs and Love, xo

Think of you often Jo. Please, don't tell me you have one of the horrible looking cage things around your leg. The stuff of my nightmares. Now, I just want to say to all the help, get you to load bearing stage asap. Jeez! You must be weak as a puppy not being able to get around. Maybe you can design something while you're in there that will let you scoot around without putting weight on that leg. Many years ago, my sister-in-law tripped over a garden hose and ended up like you.

I'm glad you're still doing well, and I continue to send healing vibes that you're home very soon to enjoy spring from your own window! :-)

Sounds like you are being well cared for and that is a good thing. The doctors and nurses, I'm sure, find it a pleasure to take care of someone as sweet as you. Hope you're back home soon.

Bless your heart and other parts! Oh, I wish you could be home right now but suspect it would be problematic for those many therapists to carpool to your home on a daily basis. Perhaps tomorrow?

I hope the rehab facility has a lovely garden so you can be wheeled about in the glorious early spring air. That would add joy to your days and joy is an essential ingredient in recovery.

Hugs!

I am glad that you are getting good care. The physical therapy is an important part of healing and recovery, but it is very hard to be away from home, I am sure. Now, patience is truly a virtue. Keep up the good attitude.

The nurse in me wonders why you passed out cold. I am sure you have been worked up for cardiac, etc. I agree, sometimes, staying at rehab and getting better IS the answer, as tough as that is. And I totally understand your life changing in an instant. Lord have mercy.

Jo, hang in there! I had hip "reconstruction surgery"(at 47 years young) (PAO surgery) in September and went back to work in January. Still healing and not up to everything I would like to do. But, when my doctor asked what my was, I told him to be able to use a shovel again. Lots of planting and moving of plants to do in my future. You'll be there too. Don't rush things. We always feel like we MUST be busy. But, HEALING is your job at the moment.
I miss my Tennessee...glad you're getting to see the beautiful buttercups as they are blooming!
God Bless You!

Hi Jo, I've left a few comments since I began reading your blog many years ago...but I don't think I've ever told you how much I really enjoy it. A lot of days I leave it up, while at work, to listen to the beautiful music you've chosen. It's very peaceful. Well, I hope you are feeling better, I know how you must miss your home.
