Humpty Dumpty

Without warning and just like  the nursery rhyme character Humpty Dumpty........ I had a great fall.
Passed-out cold, landed on my back and broke my ankle in three places.
I've spent the better part of this month in a hospital and now a rehab facility not too far from home, trying to rejoin the land of the living.
To say I was taken by surprise, is an understatement.
My dearest has delivered my computer, so I'm thankful to be able to catch up on all of my favorite blogs.
I hope your days have been far less eventful.

Oh Jo, I am so sorry to hear it. What a terrible thing and such a long recuperation. Wasn't your foot hurt before? How did you pass out? Or why? I don't mean to be nosy, just feel like we've been friends for so long. I remember seeing Oliver your last post. Well, I hope all good things are coming your way soon dear one. It's almost time to start gardening. Better tell Sarge to build some raised beds.

How awful for you Jo, I am so sorry to hear this. It sounds like it has been a long, hard road. Speedy healing from here on!

Dearie me and bless your heart and ankle! I'd been concerned about you since your Sunshine post said nothing about an upcoming absence so am glad to hear your on the mend from your misadventure.

Be sure the doctors figure out why you passed out in the first place, be it blood pressure too low, blood sugar too low, a medicine or dosage that didn't agree with you or some other reason (can you tell I'm a nurse?!). Ask questions if they haven't explored the reason for that or told you why it happened.

Happy healing!

Oh Jo, what a nuisance, to put it mildly.
I hope you're on the mend and will be back home again soon.
Take care.

These are the kind of "surprises" we'd rather do without! A couple of weeks ago, I had a less serious one. No bones broken, but a slip-in-the-shower type that left me bruised and very sore.

The computer and a few good books have definitely been my friend. Thinking of you as you adapt and push yourself in rehab...

OH, how awful! I wondered where you were, but I never suspected this. Get well and heal up, dear Jo! :-)

Oh dear, I already wondered why you were suddenly silent.
Hope you have good healing flesh/bones and recover quickly. What a nightmare, 3 times! Good that somebody else opens the tins for the cat in your absence. All the best for a speedy recovery!

My goodness, sounds like a really bad break. I can imagine that the pain of the break and from the fall must have been really bad and then the inconvenience of not being at home tucked up in your own little bed. Hospitals and care facilities are wonderful and appreciated when the need is acute and home help can't take care of your needs, but home is the best place.

Hope you heal quickly and get back home soon to some tender loving care.

Oh Dear! Oh Dear! I hope you're well on the mend now. I can imagine how you missed the good things in life, like Oliver Cat and a nice cup of tea. So sorry for all the pain and discomfort you've had to go through the past few weeks. Here's to a speedy convalescence and home in time to greet the early signs of spring.

Oh no. I'm so sorry to hear that, poor you. Do take great care and whatever you do don't try and rush your treatment just do as the doctors say and take it slowly. Pleased your back on the computer though and in touch with the outside world...

Oh my goodness, Jo! what a shocking thing indeed! So glad you are ok...well, not, totally but it could have been the end of you! It all sounds quite painful so do be careful in your recovery not to overdo it but I am sure the staff there are telling you all that already. You are in good care. Wishing you all the best. You see, times like this, aren't you glad you have blogging to fall back on? :)

Oh my goodness gracious. How terrible. Did you faint? I am just as concerned about the CAUSE of the fall as I am about the results of the fall? Please take care of yourself.
