Winter Rain

The weather has warmed.
The rain has washed away any signs of lingering snow and ice.
The Robins are feeding on earthworms, the ground once again soft and wet.
A dark and cozy Winter day, to be savored.

" The best kind of rain, of course, is a cozy rain.
This is the kind the anonymous medieval poet makes me remember, the rain that falls on a day when you'd just as soon stay in bed a little longer, write letters or read a good book by the fire, take early tea with hot scones and jam and look out the streaked window with complacency. "

Lovely! Our rain, on the other hand, is a wintry mix, so icy! We will be getting up to 50 in a couple of days. Hopefully that should take care of any snow. Enjoy your day my friend :)

Happy for you, on the other hand here in PA we are getting another snow storm, started around 11am, we have 2 inches so far, it will keep it up until around midnight. Sigh....

Hey, how did you do that with the rain? Very cool! :-)

My that is some rain, it certainly will clear the snow. Yes it's days like this I like to snuggle back under the duvet for another hour or two! In fact I quite like doing that even if it isn't raining! I never was an early bird.

Luckily we haven't had any rain like that for a long time. No snow or frosts either so hopefully we'll get some warmer weather soon. Although March is a notoriously fickle month here. Still time for snow!

I so agree. A cozy rainy day is my favourite sort of day. Lovely photos and tea quotes (I'm all about tea!).
