Nesting Days

We've had the strangest warm weather the past few days.
Here it is, the middle of December and the temperature reached a balmy 76 degrees yesterday, folks were running around town, in shorts and flip-flops !
Tonight we are in for a taste of winter, freezing rain, and temperatures down in the thirties, time to pull out those scarves and gloves.
A good day to stay home, indulge in tea and biscuits, and work on my Christmas list.

Jo I am gnashing my teeth, worrying how much ice we are going to get. I would rather have a tornado than ice. God, winter please hurry past.

Yes the wind that comes with the cold is horrible. I dread getting out in it but have to or else. Take care. I like your tea set.

Yes, this is definitely strange weather! I hope the ice will miss you! Ice is definitely no fun!

We have the exact same weather here in Texas. I am toasting my cup of tea to you right now. Stay cozy!

Yes! Put the kettle on and I am glad you have Yorkshire tea, that is my favorite! :-)

Your tea set is so pretty. I'd love to have a cuppa and some shortbread with you along with a nice talk. Wish I had 70 degree weather. I'd even take 60 at this point. It's cold here!

We are getting rain and the temp is dropping, just hope it want be like 2009. But our city said they are ready for the storm.
Stay warm and read a book with your tea.

I haven't had those short breads in years . I must get to our British shop we have around the area one day soon ! Our temps today were 50F or 10*C to us strangely warm for us here to the snow we got last week has now all gone and no snow in sight yet in the forecast but we all know how fast the weather can change ! Off to get Papa's and my cups of evening tea not shortbread though boohoo ! Thanks for sharing . Have a good weekend !

Geez, we were roasting today in East Tn. Weird, after freezing last week.I would just like a wee bit of snow served with my tea. Cheers!

Can't imagine 76 temperature.
It is better to be inside house and enjoy the days.

Brrr. Keep warm Jo.
Walkers shortbread is my favourite. Can never stop after one!

Mum and I would LUV a cuppa -- she doesn't make it nearly as much as she used to. We love your tea set -- mum has several teapots, but since she got her Keurig she doesn't use them (isn't that a shame"). Anyway, here in Tucson the weather has been quite cold for the past few days --after it being chilly when mum takes me out and then in the 70's and up during the day!!

I'm waiting for tea to brew as I write. My plans for Christmas shopping in the big city have come to a halt. A winter storm has kept me confined to the hotel for four days. A good opportunity to make lists, phone friends and write cards.

I know what you mean, we have been in the 80's the last few days, it is now 66 with rain and wind and dropping to near freezing tonight!
