Plotting

I've been gathering my Winter reading material.
There's nothing like turning the pages of  a gardening book, in the midst of Winter.
When the hopes and dreams of most gardeners lie dormant just beneath the surface.

Do you know many gently-used books are available online, through the Goodwill non-profit ?

Most often they are library donations, and can be purchased for a mere fraction of their original cost.

See your local library too. Here in Philadelphia all the libraries have ongoing book sales where you can buy books for 25 cents to $1. Videos too. I've gotten wonderful things there.

I love curling up with a garden book on a winter's day and dreaming of the spring.

I at first thought that I owned the top book and then I remember that I look at it often at the bookstore and never bought it. They look like great resource books. Fun to look at and drink tea or coffee.

I never considered that, it's a good idea.

Your book collection looks like it will get through a long winter. I don't usually start thinking about gardening until late January, but then I'm still putting my gardens to bed right now and I'm ready for the relief from all the outside work that comes by Thanksgiving when the last leaf is raked.

Alibris and Barnes&Noble... don't know how I'd live without them.

We're plotting hedges for next year... a secret garden.

I did not know this. Thanks for the tip. I will check out Goodwill on line. I do check out used books at my local library.

Although we can still purchase books at our local GW, they have of late been opening separate GW book stores. Nice, for when you just what books and no temptation to stop and see everything else. But thanks for the heads up on the online store.
