April Showers Bring May Flowers

I sing of brooks, of blossoms, birds, and bowers:
Of April, May, of June, and July flowers.
I sing of Maypoles, Hock-carts, wassails, wakes,
Of bridegrooms, brides and of their bridal cakes.

We are having a late spring here in East Tennessee, and the area for the vegetable garden is still too wet for my husband to begin work there for the season. I am glad I have seen no dogwood blossoms since the Dogwood Arts Festival opens later this week, and it is good to have some blooms during the festival.
