Timeless Treasures

You've carried milk from the dairy.
Held daffodils in the springtime.
Lived through Victorian days to Cyber days.
Had a mishap now and then.
Traveled an ocean wide.
Is treasured beyond words .

They are both beautiful pitchers. One of the things I too like to think about when I have an older dish or vase is its history and who has used it before me.

My old elm table. Used to support my laptop. Which I use to link up to the world. What would it's maker think about how I use it now?

That red pitcher! It exudes beauty, even in the picture. What a wonderful thing to own, much less to see in person! :-)

I do love old stuff. Always have. I have some lovely crockery from my husband's grandmother.

My children don't like it sadly, they're of the Ikea throwaway generation.
